Bharata Natyam  is a classical Indian dance form that is popular and natured in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Varnam is by far one of the most beautiful compositions in Indian dance. Varnam which is the most important composition of the Bharatnatyam repertoire, encompasses both nritta and nritya and epitomises the essence of this classical dance form. Bharatanatyam dance form denotes various 19th- and 20th-century reconstructions of Sadir, the art of temple dancers called Devadasis. Bharatanatyam is a reworked dance-form from the traditional "sadir" known for its grace, purity, tenderness, and sculptures poses. Today, it is one of the most popular and widely performed dance styles and is practiced by male and female dancers all over the world. The dance enhances its emotive appeal by using the literary compositions of saints and sages. The music of Bharatanatyam is based on Carnatic Classical Music.
